Michael’s comments: “I tried pianos at a few different studios in the process of making ‘Ragtime Michael Tickles the Ivories.’ These selections were played on a beat-up, antique baby grand that was tuned for the session, but still in need of much mechanical work to ever be easily playable…I really had to work hard to coax music out of such clunky, unpredictable action. Still, I liked its warm, sweet old voice. I hope you enjoy these tunes – they sound just like a visit to Grandma’s parlor.”
